What is a Wellness Check?
A Wellness Check is a lifestyle and physical assessment designed to help people achieve their optimal health and performance potential. Many roads lead to the Wellness Check – it can be a great place to start if you are interested in beginning to exercise, or it can be a continuation of your journey post injury or following surgery.
During your consultation we will cover your medical, injury, exercise and weight history. Information on sleep patterns, diet, fitness, and mental health will also be gathered to ensure a full picture of overall health is captured. Equipped with this information, your exercise specialist will then be able to guide you on your way towards living a healthy way of living using exercise as medicine.

What does a Wellness Check entail?
This 60-minute consultation includes the following:
– An in-depth discussion related to injury, medical and exercise history
– Needs analysis and goal setting
– Detailed data collection related to your current health status including:
o Perceived Quality of life
o Fatigue and stress
o Sleep hygiene
o Physical activity
o Blood pressure and resting heart rate
o Body composition and waist circumference
o Upper and lower body strength
o Cardiovascular fitness
o Neuromotor balance
What happens after my Wellness Check?
Once your Wellness Check is complete your exercise specialist will compile and send you your Wellness Check report. This report will give you an insight into where you health is current and where it needs to go. The report will also compare your data to averages of age and gender matched norms to give you an idea of where you are in comparison to those in the same age bracket as you.
